Are you looking for a way to help your child learn social-emotional and critical thinking skills? Check out chess! You and your kiddo will learn the foundations of the game using a "Win or Learn" approach to beginner chess - and life. Together, learn how pieces move, basic concepts and essential strategies for starting and finishing a game. Program includes a review of the previous week, introduction of the new lesson, followed by free play.

Please register. Sign up by emailing Miss Gretchen, gmnelson@kcls.org. One child and one adult per registration. Children and their adult will play chess with each other. One child and one adult per board. Space is limited to 12 child/adult pairs.
