Little Musicians Studio is now offering classes locally in Enumclaw and Black Diamond. My 18-month old and I were invited to join for winter session and the classes did not disappoint! Registration is opening Monday for Spring session and we wanted to give MacaroniKID readers the scoop on why they should attend.
What is Little Musicians Studio?
Little Musicians Studio is run by a fellow Enumclaw mom and follows the Music Together® curriculum. Melanie has lifelong singing experience and loves continuing to share her passion for singing and music with local families! This program is BRAND NEW in Enumclaw and starting to enroll for spring semester.
What To Expect
Classes are 45 minutes long and loosely structured; incorporating interactive songs, movement activities, rhythm exploration, and more. Class is finished up with a some time for dance or experimentation with a variety of instruments/sound makers.
Little Musicians Studio offers mixed ages classes that are suitable for children ages 0-5! There was a good assortment of ages in our class and the music and activities are easily modifiable for all ages. It was very special to watch each child's curiosity about sounds, rhythm, and movement, develop every week.
Melanie creates a very safe space where children and allowed to be children. They are free to sit in laps with their caregiver or get up and move about. No one was expected to participate in any certain way which made the classes enjoyable.
What Makes Music Together® Special
Classes are designed to foster the bond between child and caregiver. The songs are catchy and the adults in attendance are encouraged to participate.
Music Outside of Class
When you register, you also receive access to the app and a songbook with popular songs that you will hear and sing during class. My daughter loves listening along in the car! By listening to the songs outside of the weekly class, we are able to bring in some of the joy and excitement to our everyday tasks!
